I'm Listing

So it's one more week of long hours and then we'll see. This is week four. Each one having gotten a bit more intense. But, we've had Hubby for the weekends and I'm surviving ok this time. There was one small downer which my girl Meno picked me up from. Last night, I crashed at 8 pm and didn't wake till this morning at 5:30 am. I guess I needed a little extra snooze time. In light of all that, I'm doing today what I find easy and fun, I'm giving you a list. Of odd thoughts.

1. Three words key to relationships other than 'I love you': Yes, you're right.

2. Music new to me that I have fallen in love with:
Bet.e & Stef

3. I used to get myself a new sundress for mother's day each year. Then, B and I would go out to breakfast and I would give him the money to pay. Even when he was just two. We usually went to a pancake house. The staff thought it was so cute that they gave him a rose to give to me. I think he enjoyed the attention as much as I did. Mother's Days have been different since moving here. Mostly I get coffee in bed, which is a luxury I adore. But I am thinking that maybe I will go get myself a new dress - just for fun.

4. All pretty girls in movies are princesses named Cinderella to my son G. He looked at the photo of me in my wedding dress this weekend and said, "Mama! You're Cinderella!" Aw.

5. The twins have finally started holding each other's hands. The sad part is, they're doing it to help each other climb into cupboards and sneak into the cookies. Sigh.

Ah, but the twins holding hands? Even if it's for untoward purposes, you've got to love the teamwork!

I love the sundress idea! And breakfast...awww!

This the first year ever that I've actually wanted something for mother's day...a $10 ring from Claire's at the mall. It's big and ridiculous, and I love it!

Little robbers holding hands...so sweet! My dad used to tell me, All women are princesses--just don't act like one! LOL

Yay, get a sundress! I've been stockpiling them the last few years ever since I bought one for a vacation & realized I can eat like a heffer in it & no one has to see my post-pigout watermelon belly.

Glad i could help. :)

I love the mental image i get from the twins being partners in crime.

At least they're not helping each other rob banks. It could be worse. ;)

I'm taking my boys to my favorite park, going to our collective favorite restaurant and going to see a movie for Mama's Day. I'll be done with school and ready to relax and enjoy. Scrumptious!

Daisy, yeah it's still cute. It's also difficult to get after them for getting into the cookies when you're laughing.

Cheesy, yes I suppose you would know about the twin teamwork eh? It seems you have survived so there is hope for me.

Flutter, you should see my crown!

Mona, hey big and ridiculous is fab. Have you seen my paparrazi sunglasses? I think big and ridiculous is the new black!

Neen, welcome back! Yeah some heavy stuff but hey I'm still able to type so that's a good thing. I'm intelligible. Gotta count for something.

Jo, aha! See there are advantages to the sundress. I must go shopping.

Meno, glad you were there. You should see them. They are going through a big togetherness phase - so I hear, "Cmon W!" "Cmon G!" a lot and they follow each other around. It's great actually, since I hear a lot less screaming right now.

Tink, yeah if I see them pick up a baseball bat and start beating the trees, I'll be calling a therapist. No Grand Theft Auto babies in my house! Heh.

Franki, now that sounds like a super cool day.

Love your list and I think it'd be cool to carry on the Pay-for-Pancake tradition as well as the sundress!
